LIBRIS Database

The most important service of LIBRIS WebSearch is the LIBRIS Database with more than three million records representing the holdings of Swedish research and special libraries as well as a number of public libraries. The titles covered are monographs and periodicals as well as articles, maps, printed music, electronic resources et al.

Searching can be done by title, author, subject, classification code etc. Two search forms are provided. The bibliographic records are presented with detailed holdings information for the Swedish libraries which own the title. For certain periodicals holdings information from a number of libraries in Norway, Denmark and Finland is also accounted for.

The titles in a hit list occur in a rough chronological order, with new titles first and articles/reviews at the end.

Except for articles references, the LIBRIS Database is updated on a daily basis.
